【スマトラ地震】政府、支援5000万ドルに増額へ
政府は2日、スマトラ沖地震・津波の被害復旧支援に5000万ドル以上の救援金を提供する案を前向きに検討する方針を固めた。
政府は昨年12月末、政府与党協議を通じて500万ドルの救援金を策定したが、日本が1日、5億ドルの緊急支援を決定すると、潘基文(パン・ギムン)外交通商部長官が~援金の大幅増加をイ・ヘチャン首相に建議した。
潘長官は同日、記者団に対し「今回は世界経済12位の規模に見合う支援をすべきだという共感が広がっている」と述べた。
韓国政府がスマトラ沖地震・津波に支援することになる5000万ドルは史上最大規模で、今後3~4年間に分けて支援する予定。
